The 32 year-old Vietnamese national - Minh Hong Nguyen - wanted by Auckland City Police last week, was found on Saturday in Lower Hutt where he was arrested for breaching his bail.
Mr Nguyen was charged in the Lower Hutt District Court and was remanded in custody to reappear in the Auckland District Court tomorrow where he will face numerous historical charges including, possession of an offensive weapon and three counts of possession of cannabis for supply.
Detective Sergeant Lloyd Schmid said Mr Nguyen was arrested after members of the public called local Police with information about where the distinctive car he was driving - a description of which was broadcast on Friday afternoon - could be found.
