Dealing with reports of lost wallets, mobile phones and passports are the only issues Wellington Police are dealing with in the build-up to tonight's rugby test between the All Blacks and the British and Irish Lions.
There's been a steady stream of people - many of them in the city for the rugby - coming into the Wellington Central Police Station watchhouse all day reporting lost property. Mobile phones, wallets and even a couple of passports have featured.
The best news is however that some of the property is already being returned - with bar and cafe staff, taxi drivers and members of the public finding the items and handing them into police.
Crowds wearing their colours of sporting allegiance have been gathering in the city all day, enjoying the fine but cool weather, the shops, bars, cafes and other Wellington attractions.
Extra police staff are on duty for tonight's game and the festivities in the city which are expected to run through most of the night.
The Courtenay Place area has been turned into a pedestrian precinct for the weekend and a public liquor ban is in force until 6am tomorrow.
"Everyone's really enjoying themselves and looking forward to the game."
