The name of the woman whose body was discovered in Peterborough Street on Saturday morning has been released.
She was Susan Gail SUTHERLAND, known as Susie, 36, of Christchurch.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Harvey says that Susie was known to frequent the Manchester Street area, in Christchurch where she was well known. She had a lot of friends within the persons who associated in this area.
"We'd like anyone who had contact with her from last Thursday 14 April right through to her being found on Saturday morning to get in touch with us please," he says. "We have already spoken with a lot of people but I'm sure there are more out there who can help us fill in the picture of those days. This assistance will help to develop the profile of the victim."
