The investigation into the culture of police in the Counties Manukau District is asking for submissions to be made and is providing a number of ways for people to contact the inquiry staff.
The Commissioner of Police, Rob Robinson, has set up the investigation in response to recent allegations regarding staff attitudes and the treatment of offenders.
The investigation, known as Operation Reason, is being overseen by former High Court judge, Sir David Tomkins, QC.
Police say, "An investigation such as this is reliant on people coming forward and telling their stories. For that reason we want to make it as easy as possible for people to make submissions, so there is an address for written correspondence as well as e-mail address and a 0800 number."

The investigation wants to establish as wider perspective of policing in the District as possible and so wants to hear from those with positive experiences as well as those with criticism.
Submissions can be made by members of the public as well as serving and former members of Counties Manukau police.
The Commissioner has set no deadline on the inquiry but it is asked that submissions are made by March 28 2005.
