A handbag obviously belonging to a female tourist handed in to the Papanui Police over a month ago has still not been claimed.
The bag was found on 12 April in the vicinity of Jackson's Hotel, near Lake Moana, West Coast. It is a black leather handbag of French manufacture containing make-up, glasses jewellery etc and some West Coast souvenirs. There is also a large quantity of Euro currency.
