Wellington Police confirm that they have today spoken with MP Winston Peters in relation to an incident in a city taxi late last week.
Inspector Marty Grenfell, Wellington Area Controller, says Mr Peters has provided an explanation to police.
"Police do not intend elaborating on the explanation as we still need to clarify some issues with the taxi driver. I’m confident however that the matter can be resolved quickly, certainly within the next few days."
