Taranaki Police are reminding people to be vigilant and for families to warn elderly relatives to be on guard for scam phone calls, after two recent incidents resulting in large financial losses.

State Highway 1, Utiku is closed between Mangaweka and Taihape and following a crash.
The crash, involving a vehicle and four motorcycles was reported just after 8:10am.

The crash was reported around 3:40pm.
There were no reported injuries.
