Police are on site at Morley Road in Waiuku, where a woman has been found critically injured in a paddock.
The woman has been taken to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition.
Members of the public called Police to report a car that appeared to have run off the road, but had no one in it.
The injured woman was found in a nearby paddock.
Police are trying to establish the exact circumstances of what has occurred and how the woman has been injured.
