Whangarei Police locate man in relation to family harm incident

Whangarei Police have taken a man into custody in relation to a family harm incident and fire at a Maunu Road property this evening. 
 
We are speaking to the man and other people who were at the property to establish exactly what has taken place.
 
We would like to thank residents in Maunu Road and the surrounding areas for their cooperation as we worked to locate the man.
 
We anticipate that Maunu Road will reopen shortly, but a scene guard will remain in place at the fire-damaged property overnight.
