Police are now in a position to release the name of the man who died in Otaika, Whangarei on Sunday 21 October, 2018.
He was 23-year-old Hamuera Wilson of Whangarei.
There is a large team of investigators working on the case and a number of people have been interviewed over the past 5 days, however no arrests have been made at this stage.
Scene examinations have now been completed and police are unable to comment further due to this being an active investigation.
Police would still like to hear from anyone who was in the Otaika area particularly on SH1 near the cabins in the early hours of Sunday morning.
