Waikato Police still looking for Kim Louise Richmond – Media Stand-up at 1pm today.

Media are invited to a stand-up to hear from Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson in regard to the search for missing woman Kim Louise Richmond.  

Media attending need to come to the Te Awamutu Police Station at 1pm today, Friday 5 August. The Police station is situated at 75 Roche Street, Te Awamutu.  Ms Richmond's parents will be attending the stand-up.

Ms Richmond has been reported missing from the Te Awamutu/Otorohanga area and was last seen on early hours of Sunday morning 31 July 2016 when she left her home in a silver coloured 2014 Ford Ranger utility, registration number HKD553.

It is believed Ms Richmond headed in a southerly direction from her Wharepapa South farm.  Police have searched all rural roads around this area.  We have used the Police Eagle Helicopter to further search rural roads around  the southern parts - around Mangakino where Arohena area and the Police boat from Hamilton to scour  parts of Lake Arapuni.

She is 42-years-old and is described as being of thin build, about 162 cm tall with an olive complexion and dark hair.

Ms Richmond has a hearing disability and at the time of her disappearance she was wearing a Highlanders rugby jersey, blue jeans, brown leather jacket and brown leather boots.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson of the Waikato West CIB said the disappearance appears to be out of character and Police are concerned for Ms Richmond's wellbeing.  It is unknown yet if foul play is involved says Mr Patterson and he would like to hear from Ms Richmond or anyone who knows her whereabouts.
