Canterbury Police can now name the victim of the fatal single vehicle crash at the intersection of Harris Road and Gressons Road near Woodend on Monday (22 June 2015). He was 25 year old Kevin Taylor Jefcoate from North Canterbury.
The death has been referred to the Coroner. Canterbury Police and Victim Support are working with Kevin’s family.
Sergeant Colin Stewart says the Nissan van lost control and rolled onto its roof. “Kevin, who was in a wheelchair, needed to be cut free of his safety belt but unfortunately he was confirmed as deceased at the scene. The female driver of the van has since been released from hospital.”
Canterbury Police investigations are continuing.
