Overnight Police have recovered the vehicle stolen from the He Awa Street address which will undergo forensic examination today.
Police have begun a scene examination at the property and are hoping to gain further details about the offenders when they speak with the elderly couple this morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Grant Ferguson, Kapiti-Mana Area Investigations Manager, says "We have had an excellent response from the public, particularly the local community, who have come forward with information and we want to thank them for that."
