Police have executed a number of search warrants in the Stokes Valley area in response to the firearms incident in Hanson Grove on Saturday, 8 December.
A number of firearms, some of them loaded, have been recovered by Police.
At this stage no arrests have been made, however positive lines of enquiry are being followed and arrests in relation to this incident are likely.
The 39-year-old man injured in the incident was treated in hospital and released a short time later.
“I want to reassure everyone that Police are committed to identifying all of those responsible for this incident,” says Detective Senior Sergeant Tim Leitch.
“We want the people of Stokes Valley to feel safe, and we want them to know that violence and the unlawful use of firearms will not be tolerated.”
