Motorists should continue to expect delays after the serious crash this afternoon on State Highway 2, Wairoa.
Police were called about 2.50pm after a truck rolled.
The driver was in a moderate condition at the time and is currently in hospital.
The area is operating at one lane only and it is expected that the road will not be cleared for several hours.
Police remain at the scene while the truck and trailer unit is moved by a crane.
Motorists are thanked for their patience.
