Auckland City Police are appealing to the public for sightings of a woman after a man was located deceased in Ellerslie overnight.
Police were called to the property on Celtic Crescent at around 7.58pm following a report of a man found unresponsive at the address.
A 66-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
As part of our enquiries, Police would like to hear from anyone who has seen or heard from Mei Han Chong, 67.
Mei is described as of Asian descent, small in stature and has short dark grey hair and will likely be wearing glasses. Police will look to issue a photo of Mei as soon as possible.
Police are also continuing to appeal for any information or sightings of a blue Kia Rio, registration NJN927, which was last seen at the Celtic Crescent address.
Our focus remains on establishing the circumstances surrounding the death.
A scene examination is continuing this afternoon at the address and is expected to go on into tomorrow.
A post-mortem examination is also expected to be completed tomorrow.
Additionally, a scene guard is currently in place and the public can expect to see an increased Police presence in the area while our enquiries continue.
