Update: Popes Road, Takanini

Attribute to Detective Senior Sergeant Malcolm Hassall:
 
Police are continuing their inquiries after a man was found deceased on Popes Road in Takanini last night.
 
A post mortem was completed today. 
 
At this stage Police will not be releaseing any further information regarding the man, including his name, as there are still some family members to be notified of the man's death.  
 
We remain interested in hearing from anyone who saw a man wearing a red-checked shirt and jeans hitchhiking in the Mill Road/Popes Road between 7pm and 7.30pm yesterday.
