Police have today carried out a post-mortem on the body of a man found in the Waikato River yesterday.
The results indicate the man, 31-year-old Anthony Chanpraseuth of Hamilton, drowned.
Police are continuing to try and reconstruct Mr Chanpraseuth’s movements in the time leading up to his death.
Police would like to speak with anyone who may have seen Mr Chanpraseuth in Hamilton city centre in the late hours of Saturday night and into the early hours of Sunday morning.
