Southland Police are appealing for information after an incident in Riverton last weekend.
Around 2am on Saturday 6 April, a man was walking west along Palmerston Street when he was hit by a vehicle while crossing the road outside Hammer Hardware.
The man suffered serious injuries as a result and remains in Dunedin Hospital.
Police are appealing for information from anyone who was in the area at the time.
