As a result of information received and extensive inquiries, a 38-year-old man from Shannon has been arrested in relation to a serious assault that occurred on the 2nd of December 2014, in the Shannon Township.
The man was located at a Shannon property by officers and arrested this morning.
He has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and appeared in the Levin District Court today and was remanded in custody.
Police is continuing to investigate the incident and are following strong lines of inquiry to identify an outstanding offender.
