State Highway one has now reopened following a fatal crash around 4.50am this morning south of Warkworth and just north of Valerie Close.
The highway had been closed while the injured were being treated and diversions were put in place.
Police are aware that the closure and diversions caused considerable disruption to traffic and we appreciate the public’s cooperation and patience during this time.
One person died in the crash and four others received serious injuries and are now receiving hospital treatment. Two vehicles were involved in the accident.
