Serious crash - Taneatua Road, Whakatane

Emergency services are responding to a serious crash on Taneatua Road, south of Whakatane, which occurred at around 10.15am.
 
It is believed there was only one vehicle involved in the crash, and no information is available as yet on how many people were in the vehicle or the nature of any injuries. 
 
Taneatua Road is currently closed between State Highway 2 and Whitepine Bush Road.
