A pedestrian has been seriously injured following a collision with a car on Oriental Parade at about 5.10am.
Police and emergency services are at the scene and the pedestrian has been taken to hospital.
The road is currently closed and diversions are in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area while Police examine the scene.
