A 12-year-old boy has been taken to Auckland’s Starship Hospital in a serious condition after he was hit by a vehicle in Northcross this afternoon.
The early indications are that the boy, who was riding down a steep road has lost control of his scooter and gone into the path of an oncoming vehicle on Cottam Grove and Topless Drive.
Police were called at around 3.40pm.
The boy is in a serious condition.
The Waitemata Serious Crash Unit is at the scene. There is no impact to traffic.
