Emergency Services are currently at the scene of a serious crash near Twizel.
It is believed that two cars are involved and the crash has occurred on the Omararma side of canal bridge.
It is believed that there are injuries involved.
State Highway 8 is currently blocked. At this stage there are no detours in place.
