Counties Manukau Police are at the scene of a serious crash on Roscommon Road where a motorcyclist has received serious injuries.
At about 6:45am this morning the motorcycle collided with another vehicle. Witnesses have reported that this vehicle was a late 1990s model dark green Ford Explorer, which left the scene without stopping after the crash.
“It is likely that this car has significant panel damage to the front passenger side including the passenger window and headlight,” says Acting Senior Sergeant Pete Marriott. “We would like to find this vehicle as soon as possible.”
Witnesses have told Police that the Ford Explorer turned into the path of the motorcycle, into Robert Ross Place, near McDonald’s.
The 19 year old male victim has been taken to hospital with facial and chest injuries.
