Police are investigating a serious assault which occurred on the corner of Stafford and Vogel Streets, Shannon at approximately 10.50pm on Tuesday the 2nd of December 2014.
Ambulance and Police were notified when a 30-year-old male sought medical attention. He was taken to Palmerston North hospital but later admitted to Wellington Hospital and is in a critical condition.
"We believe the offenders are known to the victim and left in a dark coloured vehicle, leaving the victim seriously injured on the side of the road," says Detective Sergeant Peter Vine of the Levin CIB.
"We are currently investigating this matter and ask anyone that has any information about this incident to please contact us."
