A preliminary interview was conducted yesterday with the female victim and unfortunately Police still only have a limited description of the offender (A male wearing a black balaclava, and black hooded sweatshirt with a white face Skull-head pattern on the back of it).
Police are still investigating a number of lines of inquiry about the Edgecumbe Street attack and we ask anyone to come forward if they heard or saw the assault. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton police on 07 858 6200.
