Investigations are continuing after a search warrant was executed at a Linwood address earlier today. Police have seized a quantity of cash, cannabis plant and synthetic cannabis as a result of the search.
Detective Sergeant Geoff Rudduck says “The Canterbury Criminal Investigation Branch along with the Armed Offenders Squad executed a search warrant earlier today at a Hereford Street address. Members of the public who live in the vicinity of this address do not have anything to fear as a result of the Armed Offenders Squad being involved in this warrant.”
Hereford Street was blocked to traffic for a short time while the Police executed the warrant but there are no ongoing restrictions to residents or members of the public.
No further comments can be made about this investigation as two persons are currently being spoken to and are expected to face criminal charges in the Christchurch District Court.
