A search is underway for two men at Port Waikato after they failed to return from a fishing trip yesterday (Monday 6 April).
The men were expected to return at around 3pm and Police were notified later that evening.
A vessel was located capsized this morning but Police are yet to determine whether it is related to this search. At low tide, the vessel will be recovered and searched for any sign of the men.
Police Eagle helicopter, a fixed wing aircraft and LandSAR are all involved in the search for the two men.
It is believed that there were lifejackets available on the vessel.
