Search resumes for missing hunter

A search has resumed this morning (Saturday, 12 April) for a hunter missing in Te Urewera National Park.The 58-year-old man was reported overdue on Thursday by the rest of his hunting party.

 

Three more search teams are joining the four teams already in the National Park. 4WD vehicles are also being used for more accessible areas. The are 28 personnel in total now searching.

 

Although there is still a lot of cloud cover in the area, the weather has improved slightly since yesterday.
