At 12.10am on Sunday 24th July 2016 Police working with Transit NZ and Porirua City Council have closed the following Roads;.
· State Highway 58 between James Cook Drive to Pauatahanui Town .
· Grays Road between Pauatahanui and Pope Street Cambourne.
The Road were closed because of the waves from the Pauatahanui Inlet coming across the Road.
Police expect the Roads to be closed until high tides recedes. At this stage it is expected the Roads will be closed until around 3am.
