As power is gradually restored Auckland City Police continue to work alongside their partner agencies to ensure public safety.
At this stage there are only 4 intersections normally run by traffic lights being controlled by Police on point duty, the others being run either by restored power or by generator. They are:
Mt Wellington Highway / Sylvia Park
Carbine Road / Sylvia Park
St Johns Road /Meadowbank Road
St Johns Road / Gerard Way
There have been no reports overnight of any crime or road crashes related to the power outage. Police would like to encourage motorists to continue to drive with caution.
