Waitemata Police are searching for a 74 year-old Chinese man who went for a walk in the Green Bay area yesterday morning and hasn't returned home.
Mr Wang Dao, a visitor from China, left his address in Bishop Street at 11am on Monday morning for his usual walk.
He is fit and healthy but isn't familiar with the area and does not speak english.
He has no cellphone or access to money and doesn’t know anyone in the area.
Mr Wang was last seen wearing black pants, a black long-sleeve shirt with white stripes, a light-cream baseball cap, dark green sandals and black socks.
Police Search and Rescue are this morning searching the two routes that Mr Wang normally takes on his walk, and the Police Eagle Helicopter is also assisting with the search.
Anyone who may have seen Mr Wang or knows where he is should call 111.
