Canterbury Police are asking members of the public to be on the lookout for 36 year old Shane ARCHBOLD who absconded from Christchurch District Court, while in the custody of Corrections, shortly after 10am this morning.
ARCHBOLD is a 181cm tall male Maori with a shaved head and distinctive pentagram/star tattoo on his throat/neck. He was last seen wearing black tracksuit pants with a white stripe, black trainers and a distinctive grey/black chequered top.
Police say the man shouldn’t be approached as he has a history of violence.
ARCHBOLD has previous links to North Canterbury and the Richmond/Christchurch areas.
Anyone who sees this man is asked to phone Police on *555 from a mobile phone or call 03 363 7400 and select option 5.
