Police investigating the record seizure of cocaine found in a diamante horse-head are still looking to speak with a man captured on CCTV footage leaving a central Auckland hotel.

The man, who is described as having a Spanish-sounding accent, is yet to be identified and located.

Police are releasing two new pictures of the man, the first shows him in the lobby of a hotel in Albert street, Auckland at around 4.20pm on Friday.

Minutes later the man is captured again on CCTV footage outside Rebel Sport in The Atrium, Elliott Street.

“This man may not be able to assist us whatsoever, but until such time as we’ve spoken to him, we will keep looking for him” says Detective Senior Sergeant Colin Parmenter, Officer in Charge, Organised Crime Auckland.

“If it’s you, if you saw this man or know anything about him, please get in touch. We’re investigating the largest-ever seizure of cocaine into this country and this is one line of enquiry that needs to be extinguished sooner rather than later” he says.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Snr Sgt Parmenter on  09 259 1069.

Information can also be given anonymously to the organisation Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
