Police are now able to release CCTV footage of the men who robbed the Stokes Valley New World early yesterday morning, Thursday 14 April 2016.
The male with his hood-up and face not covered waited outside the supermarket as a look-out while the other larger built male with a black scarf over his face went inside with a firearm.
Both males arrived together and after the robbery left the scene together. The larger male, while inside the supermarket, assaulted two people, so police would like to find these offenders. The victims suffered minor injuries, however were naturally shaken and shocked by their ordeal. Both were treated at the scene by ambulance staff for minor injuries and are currently receiving counselling through their work-place and also through Victim Support.
Police appeal to anyone who knows anything about this robbery, or recognises the male with his face uncovered. Anyone can phone the Lower Hutt Police station on 04 560 2600 or they can give information anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 ENDS
