Good morning newsrooms,
The Police Media Centre will be working its normal hours of 6am-11pm throughout the holiday period, including Christmas Day – we’ll be decking the halls, ready for your calls.
We will, however, have reduced staffing during this time.
This means we’ll be giving priority to urgent operational issues, public safety matters and any major investigations over the holidays.
We will strive to deal with all of your requests, but if the team are busy then they will give lower priority to routine check calls and event number checks.
We also may not be able to facilitate every interview, with some of our National Managers and senior staff who will be on annual leave.
If your query relates to the holiday road toll, simply jingle your bells over to the Ministry of Transport’s website where this data is held.
Of course, we’ll be proactively communicating any significant events as normal.
