Operation Clover update

1 min read

To be attributed to Detective Inspector Karyn Malthus, Operation Clover:

Operation Clover investigators are collating the information gathered during the course of the investigation to enable a legal review.

Detective Inspector Karyn Malthus says; "This is a complex investigation and any decision relating to prosecution will not be taken lightly. We are, understandably, working closely with our legal team in this regard."

"We are mindful that Operation Clover has impacted on the lives of a number of young people and their families. The investigation has a strong victim-focus and the privacy and welfare needs of the young people and their families remains a priority."

The 0800 OP CLOVER dedicated phone line remains open for anyone who would like to speak to the enquiry team, and we continue to encourage people to make contact if they wish to, by calling this number.

The Operation Clover team is made up of investigators who are specially trained in dealing with sexual assault allegations and are supported by social workers and counsellors.

The team appreciate the high level of media interest, however, we do not intend to compromise the investigation at this delicate stage by discussing operational matters in greater detail.
