Taranaki Police are appealing for vehicle sightings of two new vehicles in relation to Operation Boxer: the disappearance of Opunake man Aaron Roigard.
Officer in charge of the investigation Detective Senior Sergeant Blair Burnett says: "We are looking at different investigative avenues and we still have serious concerns for Aaron. While I am not prepared to go into detail about our inquiries and who we have spoken to, a key focus for us is piecing together these vehicle movements as this could shed some light on Aaron's whereabouts and what may have happened to him."
The 27-year-old was last seen on Monday 2 June, 2014 and there have been no indications of where he may be, despite a thorough search of the Opunake area including coastal and rural locations by Police and SAR groups.
Aaron was last seen at about 1pm after he left a Waiteika Road address on foot following a disagreement with a family member.
"We are interested in sightings of a silver Mitsubishi Lancer and a white Suzuki Swift and are keen to speak to anyone that saw these vehicles in the Opunake area on Monday 2 June, 2014."
Ten officers from the Taranaki area are working on the investigation.
"Our extensive area inquiries are ongoing and we remain in close contact with Aaron's family to update them on our progress," says Detective Senior Sergeant Burnett.
