The youth arrested yesterday on a charge of murder in relation to the death of Mr. Michael Patrick Griffin has been remanded into CYF custody and will reappear in the Whangärei High Court on 23 October 2014.
The investigation is very much ongoing and continues. Police are still at the scene. It is a very complex scene and work is expected to be finished by the end of the week.

Police have released pictures of two bicycles.
Detective Inspector Kevin Burke says, "These bicycles are quite unique and we believe that they have been taken from the victims address in Second Avenue."
