Northland Police are hosting public Open Days across the district next month.
The Open Days will be held on Sunday 11 March at the Whangarei & Dargaville Police Stations and Simpson Park in Moerewa.
Northland District Commander, Superintendent Russell Le Prou says the Open Days are an opportunity for the community to come along, meet their local officers and learn more about the diverse roles within Police.
“We have a number of activities planned across the three events in our District to showcase the different opportunities a career in the Police can provide.
“We really want people from Northland to come and join us. We need good people who care about helping to keep this great part of New Zealand safe.
“While this year’s Open Day has a recruitment focus, there will be plenty of other activities happening across the day for anyone curious about a behind-the-scenes look at Police and the work we do,” says Superintendent Le Prou.
Activities being held across the District include displays from: Armed Offenders Squad, Search and Rescue, Police Dog teams, a community policing information tent and guided tours of the Police stations.
