Wellington Police would like to assure the public that an incident that occurred at Te Aro Park early this morning was not an armed robbery as initially reported.
Investigations are ongoing but we are confident that there is no risk to public safety in relation to this event.
Police are continuing to support the man who made the initial complaint.
