Nelson woman dies after being hit by car

An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car at a residential address in Nelson today. 
 
Emergency services were called to the address shortly before 3pm. 
 
The woman sustained serious injuries but her condition later deteriorated and she died a short time ago. 
 
The Serious Crash Unit will be looking into the circumstances of the incident.
