Attribute to Inspector Shanan Gray, Acting District Commander for Waitemata:
Police can confirm the name of the cyclist who died in hospital on Tuesday evening after he was injured during a fleeing driver incident in Massey on 25th November, 2019.
He was 39-year-old Jamie Jameson from Auckland.
His death has been referred to the Coroner.
I want to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr Jameson and we continue to provide them with support.
The family has requested privacy as they grieve in private and they have specifically requested that media do not make contact with them.
