The man who died in a crash at the intersection of Tuakau and Buckland Roads near Pukekohe on Thursday was 74 year old Robert Nikora of Papatoetoe.
Police are still looking for information on the crash.
"The investigation into the crash is underway but we are still looking for any witnesses," says Constable Amy Weston. "The crash occurred during heavy rain at around 12pm on Thursday and we are interested to hear from anyone who can tell us if there were any other vehicles involved in the crash or on the road at the time, as well as any information about where Mr Nikora was heading at the time of the crash."
