The 21-year-old man charged in relation to the death of 20-year-old Virginia Ford has now been charged with murder.
He will appear in the Palmerston North District Court at approximately 10am tomorrow (Tuesday 17 March, 2015).
The Ford family have asked for privacy at this time and Police seek the support of media in respecting their request for privacy.
As the matter is before the court police will be making no further comment.
