Search teams have found two trampers who were missing in the Hunua Ranges, south of Auckland.
The man, in his 60s, and woman, in her 30s, were on the Workman Track when they became separated from their group.
Police confirmed at approximately 2pm that the pair had been found safe and well but tired, near Mangatangi Dam.
They were located by a ranger.
Both trampers, who are from the Auckland region, are being taken to their vehicle and will make their own way home.
We would like to thank all search volunteers and others who searched for and found the trampers.
There is limited information available as Police won’t be in a position to speak to the pair in detail until later this week.
Therefore we are unable to do interviews on this matter.
