Missing 60 yr old female - photo released

Police hold concerns for a missing 60 year old female in the Paraparaumu area since approximately 4.15pm this afternoon. The woman, who has a medical condition, left her Rifleman Lane home to go on a casual walk - and has failed to return or make contact with her family. Only being dressed in a light grey coloured caridgan with a cable design down the front, dark blue jeans and white sneakers raises concerns that her attire is unsufficent to protect her from the cold evening and night that is forcast for the Kapiti area. She is caucasian, 5'7" tall, of slim build and has short dark red hair. She is not believed to be carrying anything. The female may have become confused about her whereabouts and therefore is unable to make her way home. Police ask that anyone who may have seen a female fitting this description contact the Central Communications Centre on 04 3812000. We would also ask that persons who are out and about in the Paraparaumu area be aware and report any such sightings. Thank you Inspector Dave Rose Shift Commander
