Wellington District Police will hold a media briefing at 1pm today at Wellington Central Police station (Victoria St), regarding last night's homicide in Johnsonville.
Two of the four surviving victims remain in a stable condition in hospital, including a nine-year-old boy and a 45-year-old woman. Two others have been discharged and are receiving appropriate support.
Police has one person in custody who is continuing to assist them with their inquiries, and no-one else is being sought in connection with the incident. Police is satisfied that there is no ongoing risk to the community.
Scene examinations in Broderick Road are continuing this morning.
A further update will be provided at this afternoon's briefing.
